The application also informs users of nearby speed camera locations, displaying distance and speed limits where available. The database encompasses various regions:

The database is customizable, allowing users to add or remove cameras and set speed limits. However, it is noted that not all local cameras may be included, with updates provided as new information becomes available.

The application further enhances driving experience by allowing users to create and save routes for easy retrieval. Current positions on routes are actively displayed on the map. In addition, the HUD icon facilitates a mirrored display for enhanced visibility when positioned beneath the vehicle’s windshield. Optimal performance in low-light conditions is noted, while direct sunlight may affect screen readability.

aSmartHUD is equipped to monitor up to four speed limits simultaneously, alerting users when limits are approached. The features also include a distinctive 3D trip log graph that dynamically adjusts based on movement, with optional transparency settings. A variety of map options are provided with both Apple and OpenStreet maps available in multiple configurations.
